Cargo crash in the middle east a couple of years ago

Postby monchavo » Mon Aug 19, 2013 10:37 am

Could anyone point me towards a report reviewing the events surrounding the crash of a 747 in cargo configuration a few years ago, which crashed somewhere in the middle east (possibly near a military base) after a fire was detected and the crew called an emergency. I believe at the time the parlour talkers put it down to LI-ION batteries in the hold combusting. Sorry for the vague information, any intel appreciated. Cheers.
