An American Airlines flight from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Baltimore Washington International made an emergency landing Tuesday afternoon due to an in-flight emergency.

AA Flight 1106 was diverted to Little Rock, Ark., after a water pipe in the lavatory burst mid-flight.

An executive producer with NBC News in San Francisco, Dan Pyryt, happened to be on-board the aircraft and said the flight had nearly reached cruising altitude when the pilot notified the passengers they had to land in Little Rock.

The pilot landed the MD-80 aircraft without incident and a maintenance team will evaluate the aircraft, the airline said in a statement Tuesday.

Pyryt said water was everywhere and that some of the 140 passengers were soaked. He added they were told the pipe would be repaired and that they would be put back on the plane with bottled water.

Flight information published by Google shows the flight is expected to depart Little Rock at 7 p.m. and arrive in Baltimore just after 10 p.m.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
Humor angles- what did they charge for the bathing services?
1. Clear water (ok)
2. Blue water (disturbing)
3. Used blue water...
