Hmm not clear weather the takeoff was aborted because it burst four tyres or if the tyres burst aborting the takeoff.

It's clear enough. The abort was caused by a cockpit warning light. The tires were very likely fuse plug melts and tire deflates after the abort.

Reading this morning that the decision to abort was due to warning lights concerning the flight control surfaces & the burst tyres were a result of aborting the take off fully loaded. Not sure just how fully loaded is fully loaded, Wunala was only carrying 217 pax (around 60% load factor), I guess cargo could account for the difference?

That's what I figured it would be, but the way the article was written and titled, the tyres were presented as the main issue rather than whatever caused the high speed abort. It's clear enough. The abort was caused by a cockpit warning light. The tires were very likely fuse plug melts and tire deflates after the abort.
