History Channel, "The Worlds Most Extreme Airport's"

Lindbergh Field, The crash of PSA 182...A 727 rear ends 172 with both aircraft in contact with ATC and on radar and multiple traffic call outs.

"The Cessna suddenly cut across the path of the airliner"

And then they explain, in detail, how the PF of the Cessna was using a hood. They stop short of calling it an major contributing factor, but the innuendo is there, and no mention of the safety pilot nor the call outs, nor the 727 guys failure to maintain visual separation.

...and to top it all off, Captain Moustache weighs in (he doesn't say anything wrong, but he doesn't say anything of real relevance either).

Expletive, expletive, expletive, God forbid there be ANY effort for decent accuracy at all, whatsoever.
Commercial Pilot, Vandelay Industries, Inc., Plant Nutrient Division.
