Re: Magdalen islands (Canada) crash
I'm wondering what Canadian regulations would say about a charter being operated by a Quebecoir-crewed but N-registerd airplane (if this was, in fact, a charter).

Not a charter as far as I know, it was a private thing. Jean Lapierre (the ex-minister) and the pilot in command were very good friends.

What's the difference in Gethereitis and using a highly capable plane to take on conditions which are challenging, but nevertheless within the capabilities of the aircraft and typical operations (with supposedly adequate safety buffers)Gratuitous speculation : Gethereitis?

Zilog, sorry for the loss of your friends. Sometimes it conjures up safety questions of anything that isn't "first-world-airline" (of course, then there's the other modes of transportation).
