It would be interesting to analyze how many folks have been killed coming and going to Osh Gosh.
Feels like two to four every year.
Suddenly, a bunch of amateurs start taking on weather and distance and unfamiliar terrain and get 30+ (whatever) min away from the airport in something maintained well below Evan's standards.
What % is tomfoolery, what % are the proverbial "good pilots", would ballistic parachutes help, is the "I-can-do-this-but-don't-have-the-professional- 'daily'- exercise" factor significant important, or the inability to say no/get there it is.

Frankly, I'm surprised more people don't get killed or at least very badly maimed AT Oshkosh.
