I know I said I was mothballing it ... but seeing as I could, I upgraded the site's security to use https:// this brings it into line with most of the good quality websites on the web- we're up to date with a quality SSL certificate, and your data is transmitted securely.

AD.I stopped remembering me and now I need to log in every time (yes, I do check the remember me box).
May that have anything to do with the improvement?

Are you sure you updated your bookmark to be https and not http?
I had the same problem until I did that.
This problem can also be described as "failure to complete the post-upgrade checklist".

Cowboy improvisation.
Had he followed the
correct procedure highlighted by Monchie in his post's
ForumCOM instead of relying in
universal basic internetmanship skills, this
total-login-disaster would not have happened.

Indeed.
Can Monchie change your userid to Not_Evan, to signify that you Are_Evan? (at least sort of with respect to this post).

I never understood if with Not_Karl you meant that you aren't Karl (which will give us a bit of information about one thing you are not but not much about what you are) if you are not-Karl (which would mean that you are everything but Karl)

I am
not Karl.
I am
a lot of things -but not everything-,
none of which is
Karl.
I am
not_a lot of people (the voices in my head say we're only 5 at the moment), and
none of
we is the aforementioned
Karl.
Sorry for the confusion, hope this clarifies my identity.

A bit of history:
(quote = "A number of AD.com forumites in joking response to certain posts")
Are you Karl?
Someone was making a preemptive move when they chose their userid.
PS: How do we work/trick the new quote functionality to manually enter the citationee?
