Relentless pull up thread 456,214

Postby 3WE » Mon Jan 15, 2018 2:50 pm

Yeah, I got a PPL license and 100 hours and respect stalls...I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever stall out at 500 feet and 4 knots above stall...and if I do, I simply and smoothly add power and continue to fly the plane with careful, measured control imputs...I KNOW MY TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURES!!!!!!!.

/Sarcastic, hyperbolic overstatement, that illustrates that some of us probably THINK it would never happen to us...

...and maybe it won't, but as I've gotten older, "never" is an awfully dangerous work (and that's beyond my joking about absolute statements).

Ban the MU-2?
Indeed, along with the Cirrus and V-Tail Bonanza. And yes, part of the MU-2 crash may have been breif, insidious inattention, as opposed to the easy claim of gross cowboy monkey near total departure from fundamentals and procedures...

...and an airplane that will bank over 70 degrees just because you hit the gas isn't nasty (some sarcasm)

I already asked for that, but the monkey pilots keep on crashing...

And don't forget the extreme danger of adding power in aeroplanies with underslung engines (fun fact: the prototype MU-2 had underslung engines! And they were French!!!! It must have been one of the total-air-disasteriest aeroplanies ever)... Maybe it's time to ban all powered aeroplanies. Gliders are OK.
