So, the Evanie, Regulatory, Written, meet A, B, C, D, at altitude X...

Not so much 'comfortably in-control' with fat, dumb and happy margins...
Comfortably in=control? Did you really see the video? Did you see the VERY LARGE pitch, roll and yaw excursions? And we cannot directly see the Gs, but we can imagine that they were not "comfortably" at all.

Errr...we are losing context... you posted a PDF with all of the ‘established, configured, on speed and altitude at 1000 feet’ thingies...(Yes, I only scanned it as opposed to pondering every word).

By SOME definitions that is a stabilized approach. AND we do continue them through bumps and crosswinds and wind shears.

As to whether Monchie’s video shows a plane that is in control within safe margins...

Bring on the adjectives and hair splitting- clearly, they are not in absolute control- yet they maintain ok alignment and glide slope and make a very straight, seemingly well controlled touchdown...

Comfortable? (Obviously no.) Comfortably safe? I dunno- you might have to write a dissertation, and God forbid Evan try to make a QRH decision tree to decide when it’s finally too turbulent...

PS: I have always liked the Flying Wild Alaska bunch and their windy landings: Here are two:

Had a Wideroe Dash 8 try three times to land at Sandefjord Torp (TRF) in a Thunderstorm some years back. Great rollercoaster ride with the Captain continuously updating us on conditions and process. Eventually he gave up and we landed at Oslo Gardermoen (OSL).
Very boring three hour coach ride home. :x
Those Dashes really move around.

And let me bet it was nothing remotely close to the approach in that video.

Here are other "more normal" take offs and landings in strong gusting crosswind (Storm Doris). Pay attention especially starting at 4:00.

Hard to tell since I was inside. How should we settle that bet? Trust me, Wideroe pilots don't give up easily.
Check out some of the videos. Now add to that winter, snow, no daylight and wind from the Barents, or North Sea. Not the longest and widest strips of tarmac either. Trust me, these guys are greatly appreciated on the West Coast and up North.

And may I add, unlike those guys, we did NOT land.

And while we are off topic.
This used to be my local airport, Geiteryggen Skien, closed due competition from Sandefjord Torp, and no possible way to extend the runway either way. Good riddance I say. although it's only a 25 mins drive from home.

Not possible to extend because of the cost of acquiring the land and the massive upheaval/earthworks? Or some other reason?

Love the landing in the video above, and i note lichen growing on the white reflective paint!

Quote = Gabriel: ***Pay attention***
I see a lot of rudder flapping that is far from "steady state"...in fact, I even see some reversals!!!!!!! :o :?
I also see plenty of non-steady-state, sometimes reversing aileron and elevator inputs.
The videos are spectacular and all, but are you agreeing with me that we might be hard pressed to declare this as dangerous?

Costs related to infrastructure (main road at one end,) and topography. Also plagued with fog and wind. Should never been built there in the first place.

3 Videos of the same aborted landing of a 737-800 at Salzburg last November.

Some local guys started something called MSG Production in order ti build an airplane washing machine, which they now have.
To test it out they bought an old B737-200 and got special permission from the "authorities" to land the smokey old thing at Geiteryggen Airport, where they have their facilities.
This be the video, sorry about (the lack of) editing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW0U5GLTpE8
The little Russian oldtimer turning fuel into noise frequently passes over our house, good fun.
