What makes you think the blade was uncontained?

What makes you think the blade was uncontained?
Blade missing, casing punctured, cowling gone. Not conclusive but nice circumstantial evidence.

BTW... Gabe... why do you call this one an uncontained failure and not the Denver event? :? :)

That was 3 years ago when we were stupid, ass-hat, outsiders parlour talkers. I think he thought, that the largely missing cowling meant that stuff had blown outward through the containment.

We have since learned that crappy Boeing cowlings let go due to minor vibrations when half a blade is gone.

Now we are STILL stupid, ass-hat, outsider parlour talkers, but have even MORE irritating questions for the insiders like flyboy, Dummy, Bobby, Bradley and Verbally.

(We not italicized as we are not making important recommendations to the industry, other than we think some more duct tape and bailing wire are in order to secure blades and cowlings.)

I don't like that channel very much, but that video was very good.

As to your question, as I said before:
Blade missing, casing punctured, cowling gone. Not conclusive but nice circumstantial evidence.
But in the end it was not uncontained either (even when a piece of blade hit the fuselage, but it was at low velocity, it made a small dent and scratch but no puncture).
