Beautiful People "Tweet" during takeoff roll.

So, there's some indication they had a plane full of people and fuel (I.E. overweight) AND maybe the attention to detail was off? (although it could just as well be a meteor strike or something catastrophic and mechanical).

Kind of sad- looks like a fun time went south quickly- and the creepy thought that this was maybe within a minute of they did died.

To pontificate for a moment- we sure do seem to crash a lot of overloaded light aircraft.

I think I have operated an overweight 172 a few times in my life- Runway was not limited, the plane behaved fine, and our climb rate- while it wasn't crisp, it was very adequate. That being said, I've realized that I may have never practiced an overweight go-around with 40 degrees of flaps...suddenly 'never-happen-to-me' changes to some difficult self searching...oh, because I would maintain control and eventually figure it all out....right.

EDIT- AND I THINK I JUST SAW GOSSIP THAT THE OPERATOR DID NOT HAVE A PILOTS LICENSE...
