Not that a lot of of people cares around here, but just so you know, a 737-200 crashed taking off from Havana, killing more than 100 and leaving a number of badly injured persons that you can count with some of the fingers on your left hand.

And Argentinian media has already highlighted that the aeroplanie was 30 years old... Can't wait to read what they say when they realize that the one that actually crashed was almost 39  .

All media (including Argentinian) is already pointing out a the age of the airplane as if would have died of old age.

Video of final moments via Gabby, there- stall, spin, crash, burn. :(

Plane in bad shape.

There were also some eyewitness reports of an engine flaming.

Don't bother. Time to rename the site.

A bit harsh.

More realistically we (here) do not need to get down to every last force vector and moment regarding aircraft behavior with an engine out.

I think most of us realize that an engine failure is a likely contributing factor and that all other talk is just talk.

The only realistic option is to literally 'wait for the final report', see if the airspeeds were reasonable, if the rudder work was amiss, the reverser's stayed in place and if anything else appeared to be broken.

I enjoyed watching 5 min of your youtube, but you know my fixation of healthy airspeeds...makes all of that other stuff trivial (factual- but still trivial).

Why, is someone stopping you from using six paragraphs just to say "flying below Vmc is bad"?

Why, is someone stopping you from using six paragraphs just to say "flying below Vmc is bad and staying above Vmc is a little tricky, based on statistics of engine-out control loss"?
