Nothing to see here, Boeing was already toast, as was WN.

Wrong.

You pilots again have fallen short and not followed some procedure for when it's raining or switch guards while taking advantage of inadequate regulation. Yet again, we need to do something!

Consider yourself admonished and excuse me while I get more fully-leaded coffee.

In other news, I rode WN twice this week. Trim, brakes, fan blades, rudder actuation and right main shimmy damper performance appeared nominal- Because of that, I have no way to know if emergencies were declared or engine out or depressurization checklists were initiated on proper timelines.

What I want to know is why this incident STILL has not been mentioned there. Did Evanie's head explode or something?

I know that no one did died, but where it the middle ground?

Certainly a premature, speculative review of the chain of events / swiss cheese is in order...however, things seem largely silent.

There's some middle ground between over-analysis and waiting for the final report- and maybe not totally liked to the body count...right?

Nothing much official in Av-Hearaldie, but their comments section includes talk of some tail wind, and talk of some camera footage that suggests that the spoilers didn't pop.

Ironingly I think this is the same runway of WN's first fatality. Clearly enough of a trend to call for perhaps a ban on WN landing on that runway ever again, except in an emergency.

It may have. When you said that Aviation wasn't a great example to play the "profit over safety" card, he might have found out that Dad works for the cable company, Wal Mart, or Ticket Master or something like that. Or maybe he simply paused and thought about it.

Evidently, the "nomorekitten" policy is far more important than a runway excursion.
