Speedbird 9 video with a twist

Postby elaw » Wed Oct 21, 2020 1:38 pm

Obviously Speedbird 9 / "The Jakarta incident" has been pretty extensively discussed, but this video offers something a little different: https://youtu.be/m_Vz6v9tsgk

The "twist" starts at about 7:24.

I hate to be lazy, but the video starts out with an outsider sounding analysis, and then jumps to some more outsider asking questions of the calm, humble insider who lived it...does the video ever get compelling?

Not terribly... it just provides a little extra insight if you already knew the story. Plus some fairly convincing proof that the pilot of the aircraft in question dd not did died.

Also, as far as I could distinguish there were no new clues that squids might have been involved in the incident. But we know how good they are at covering their tracks...

Good to know that even in 2020 Capt Stanley Stewart's account of the accident remains the best.
