The alternator on the Melmoth did dieded due to vibration that wasn't felt.

That is all.

In related news, the alternator did died on a particular 172M in 1979 while making my official night flight.

VMC and runway lights that stayed on full time and instructors in the right seat are good things.

I hope you are similarly trilled.

Finally received my Typists Monthly and was compelled to read said article.

Interesting that aeroengineers keep track of propeller resonance frequencies and that they may tend to occur barely outside of normal operating ranges.

But aside from that, beating stall prevention and recovery to death is more interesting.

Disconcur.

There is more:

We read part II of how Not_Karl's Uncle Dr. Dick ruthlessly kills a helpless, innocent goose AND in the process, apparently totals his newly-purchased Beechcraft T-tail-turbofan-doctor killer...[correction: goose killer]. :o  :?

And then there is this:

The Premier I is constructed with a high-strength composite, carbon fiber/epoxy honeycomb structure fuselage.
No wonder it is damaged beyond repair.

I kinda feel for the good Uncle Doctor. He turned the replacement of his largely one-way Cheyenne into such a multi-year, multi-transactional ordeal, all that just to buy an airplane that is turning into somewhat of a basket case, from the looks of it.

He should have just bought this.

Indeed!

That would hold the whole family and boyfriends of daughters and grandkids and Dr. Friends and rent-a-jet coworkers typist coworkers AND the dog can play fetch in the back!

And with the right flock of geese it can be promptly totaled too.

In the interest of fairness, I wish to point out that geese are also made of composites.

Isn't that a moot point? The goose was damaged beyond repair too- as was Sully's airbus.

I once sent my wife a link to a similar aircraft that was for sale, arguing that while baggage capacity is somewhat limited and it's not the most comfortable ride, being able to travel from MA to OH to visit her family in half an hour might make up for it.

For some reason she wasn't interested. :?
