Re: B787 New Zealand/Australia Tour
I wish I'd bothered to find out what time it was coming in yesterday - if it landed on 27 I would have had a nice view of the approach from my yard.
0930 on a Saturday is highly unlikely, but thanks for the heads up.

Concur!Still with the trailing cone? No wonder it's an awful tail.
Maybe the wing box engineer can give us some insight into why that thing is still hanging out.... could be for RVSM cert?

Exellent pictures, Marty! Good looking aeroplane, 3/4 of it. Nice snout, very nice wings, cool engine cowlings, but................the tail. It looks wrong somehow, don't know what is is, proportions? Very, very wrong. I blame the Americans.

The horizontal stabilizer looks misplaced, smaller and farther aft than some.

Re: B787 New Zealand/Australia Tour
Great pictures. That's a remarkably uncluttered flight deck.
By trailing cone, do you mean the cone shaped assembly at the very end of the fuselage, or that weird plumb line hanging down from the rudder?

It is quite clean. The FMS and maintenance computing functions are remarkably intuitive as well.where are the standby instruments? That's a remarkably uncluttered flight deck.
Re: B787 New Zealand/Australia Tour
The "Integrated Electronic Standby Instrument" is a "three-in-one" instrument combining attitude, airspeed and altitude indications on a single LCD display.
