You should not discriminate against the female gender pilots.

As for stopping on the yellow line at the gates there are two methods either the aircraft is marashalled in with wands by a credited 'wand waver' or a Nose In Guidence System (NIGS) is used these can either be electronic where you pre-set them for the type of aircraft that is to arrive as the aircraft approaches it will flash with the aircraft type eg B737 the flight crew then know it is set and they can come into the bay at around 14 metres it will start counting down the metres until it tells the aircraft to stop, the other is where the aircraft comes into the bay and there is a box in front of then to keep them on the 'lead in line' and another box on the captains side that when he lines up with the stop line the light in the box changes from green to red.

Thats how it pretty much works.

Hey Dummy, wasn't that one due to a thunderstorm?
you still have to find a crew willing to fly this "barely airworthy" heap
no such thing as "barely airworthy" it's either Airworthy or Not
100% incorrect Ever hear of Ferry Permit? issued for Non airworthy aircraft
LOL

More importantly, why can't I get a drink during the takeoff roll?

Is it wrong to use autothrottle to maintain a constant taxi speed?
