That is dangerous. The sudden increase in gross weight can make the flying device to loose speed, less speed and more weight means more angle of attack, which can quickly develop into a stall.

Not to mention that the CG shift can easily create serious controlability and stability issues.

And then... "they had the fish" doesn't end well some times.

It looks like a very antique, primitive design, surely lacking in 21st century safety features and technology .

Never mind how can they possibly be expected to follow procedures when they can't even read?

I dunno... given how messages are transmitted by nerves, you could make an argument that thing is "fly by wire"! It sure doesn't have a hydraulic system... at least not one that operates the flight-control surfaces.

Four replies:

Bad procedures
Technical discussion
Fly by wire

Not one mention of the beauty of flight, the beauty of nature nor the beauty of the particular specimen and it's hunting activity.

Have we been spending too much time there and developing an Evan mindset?

I guess I should be glad we didn't mention "cowboy airmanship"...of course, this is "birdboy airmanship" to be more correct.

I forgot.
Cowboy airmanship, recklessness and complete disregard for safety. I also suspect poor CRM.

I hope it is not made of cheap composites...

I wonder how well it copes with somatogravic illusions...
