Seems to have most of the classic attributes...
The airline claims "non-compliance"
The police side with the airline.
Captains and zip ties seem, absent (I always did question Boeing Bobby on that).
I guess this story does lack physical altercations.

Of course, AD historians will remember one other classic attribute- the story contains boobies.

Re: Was it Titled, "The United Debarcle"?
Something doesn't add up here... The mother promises that she'll have the baby seated and strapped before the door closes, the airline reports that she refused several times to seat and strap her child with the airplane taxiing... and then she is off-loaded? Did they return to the gate? Did they bring a stair?
I suspect BS from the airline here....

Re: Was it Titled, "The United Debarcle"?
The counter arguments include:***I suspect BS from the airline here....***
A notable lack of cell phone video from those on the plane and a lack of witnesses condemning the airline.
In fact there seems to be an implication that the passengers wanted her off so they could get on their way.
And instead of the normal diversionary PR of "we love our customers and are investigating", the official airline statement is "We stand behind the actions"
I suspect BS and hopes of a nice paycheck from the passenger here.

I like how the article starts by saying that the woman was kicked-off for breastfeeding, but apparently the problem was Not_what she was doing but when she was doing it.
I'm all for breastfeeding and think people "offended" by it should be guillotined, but maybe we should wait for the final report on this one.

Nothing that can't be fixed with a guillotine.
Re: Smoking kills
Was she zip tied by the captain?
Dragged off the plane against her will?
Victimized by a power-mad FA?
And what does the court of public opinion say?

Man 'smearing feces' redirects flight to Anchorage
There were sure to be some unhappy travelers Thursday night when a United Airlines flight had to be diverted to Anchorage due to the actions of a passenger on board.
United Airlines flight 895 from Chicago to Hong Kong had to be redirected to Anchorage Thursday due to a "passenger smearing feces everywhere", according to Ted Stevens International Airport Police.
Airport Police say the adult male smeared the excrement within a couple of bathrooms, took off his shirt and attempted to stuff it in the toilet. He was cooperative with the flight crew and was seated when the flight landed in Anchorage.
According to FlightAware.com, the plane arrived at ANC around 6:20.
The passenger was met by FBI agents and Airport Police at the plane and was interviewed by both entities. Airport Police say the subject was taken to Providence Hospital for a psych evaluation. No charges were filed.
The FBI says they're investigating the incident in conjunction with Airport Police.
Airport Operations says the Boeing 777 was grounded overnight for maintenance, leaving passengers stranded in Anchorage.
United Airlines has not yet responded to requests for comment.
