No one did died, but ouch, it can't be good... 'near total flight stoppage' with passenger traffic likely jacked up for the holidays and limited capacity to clean up the mess.

I read that the fire was associated with the primarily-backup switching apparatus- so both irony and a tougher engineering challenge.I love how the failure also disabled the "backup" power...
Still, you'd think a big airport would have fuel and real estate and $ for a number of standby generators... I'd think they would have paid off economically.
