I think we are due a flight report.
Did we virtually died?
Did we have problems with 0.75 million pound phugoids? The 4-lever throttle quadrant that is a "handful"?
Were we able to taxi to a gate and set the parking gate without a butt chewing from a stereotypical virtual New Yark controller?

Re: F.A.O.: Gabriel
Indeed. Inquiring minds want to know. Was there, perhaps, an audience?

Re: F.A.O.: Gabriel
It will be (or is supposed to be) next week and AFAIK there are no New Yark controllers in Virtual MIA.
Regarding audience, I don't know who will be there other than my host who already announced spectators are not allowed.
I will let you know when/if it happens and, if so, I will try to capture video evidence of my superior or shitty pilot skills.

As I state there...
Lined up, configured, stabilized, no crosswind and I suggest this power setting.
BUT NO external guidance.
I acknowledge that the slight corrections to keep it on course and the flare may be a 750,000 lb challenge, but your 4 min of glory is a bit unrealistic with respect to the rotten fish scenario.

This one would be too much fun.I was picturing something more like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6epe9cFQ_9c&t=77s
It reminds me of my first landing in the Tomahawk. The yoke all over the place and the sweat.
The person in the right seat was quite different, though.

I need to intoxicate my brain with something strong to do that. Grab me a diet Pepsi please.Forty-five it, dude.
Re: F.A.O.: Gabriel
If I everybody can walk away from the sim and it can be re-used without further maintenance, it is a perfect landing by definition. Runway, taxiway, highway or fairway. And please don't land on the taxiway.
Re: F.A.O.: Gabriel
Evan and Gabe may disagree- but for an aircraft carrier ...I would be very ok with 3000 PSI straight to the brake pads!Or aircraft-carrier deck.

Well... when trying to land an aircraft with a 195-foot wingspan on a deck with ~120' clearance from the runway centerline to the superstructure, directional control could be important also.Evan and Gabe may disagree- but for an aircraft carrier ...I would be very ok with 3000 PSI straight to the brake pads!

Re: F.A.O.: Gabriel
Being dorky here, but, for that short of a runway, does directional control matter that much? (Yeah, need to be aimed the right way, but momentum might rule the day.)Well... when trying to land an aircraft with a 195-foot wingspan on a deck with ~120' clearance from the runway centerline to the superstructure, directional control could be important also.Evan and Gabe may disagree- but for an aircraft carrier ...I would be very ok with 3000 PSI straight to the brake pads!
I do concede that the best braking is just short of skidding...of course, I’m not sure that really matters in this case either due to that “m” word.
As I check the clock, I assume that Gabeieie did or didn’t did virtually dieded by now... ohhh the suspense!

1. Fixed (we didn't want to forget what it weighed, right?)Short summary of my experience in the 747-200 sim:
Veni 630,000 lbs, vidi 630,000 lbs, vici 630,000 lbs.
2. While we appreciate the not-so-Gabriellian brevity, I believe some details on parking brake usage are lacking.
3. You alluded, there, that there were some things you found challenging...a not-so-brief reply is probably in order.
