Arrival of A8-125 which was the first F-111C delivered to the RAAF in 1973, she rolled through the RAAF Williams Point Cook gates yesterday at around 1100, behind the truck the aircraft was on there was a convoy of three other trucks with the wings, tail fin and nose etc it will be re-assembled and should be on display around the end of June.

Pause it right on 1:08 and you will see myself with my son Liam taking the pics above ;)

The guy who filmed this would have been the guy with the video camera in my fourth picture.

They go well with the American plane.

Do your trucks encounter a lot of brush on the highways?

Those are called roobars, not brushbars/

Like FB said they are 'roobars' you dont want to hit a a kangaroo at 110 kph/60mph they make one hell of a mess, and alot of the time (for cars anyway) they end up through your windscreen.

I can tell those trucks are American even without seeing the badges: They're "OVERSIZE".

I thought roobars were used to strengthen concrete.

I need a brushbar apparently, because after driving across the western plains (ON the interstate) I had to pull about a dozen tumbleweeds out of my grill. First time one rolled in front of me while I was going 90mph or so I wasn't sure how much mass they had and panicked a little bit. Little bit scary with a brand new car. There's nothing to them, though.

Brushbar, Roobar, rebar, rhubarb.... seems I need a gullbar, one of them birds decided to lift off on the Great Belt Bridge yesterday, perpendicular to the direction of our car and climbing like an A340. Not good for the gull, a few scratches on the fender of the car and probably a slightly disconcerted driver of the car that we had just passed, he only got to see a dead seagull shoot more or less straight out from the front wheel well of our car across his lane. Didn't see if he also clipped the bird.
Veni, Vidi, Velcro!
