Since the video link is no longer active here is a short photo story about the event. My building's roof terrace was locked so I couldn't go up to see but the view to the north was pertty impressive.

I understand the 747 will next load the mock Shuttle Enterprise and relocate it to New York for display. The mounting brackets will be femoved at that time and used to support the Enterprise. That suggests not much of a future for the old plane. Here is an article about the two carriers:

Enterprise is going to the Intrepid.
Scheduled to be ferried out on the SCA April 23rd.

It used to be a regular occurance to see it in Houston. Of course, under the present dictatorship, that has come to an end.
