As always, lets wait until the final report is out.
Fixed.
You [and Brian and Gabriel] know this (and there) is (are) a discussion forum(s) dedicated to baseless (or weakly-based) speculation right?
Also fixed...

No.

Undeniable pros of slow taxi and delayed evacuation in case of explody engines:
  1. More time to grab your carry ons.

The idea that the same guy who suggested that any airport near any water bigger than a puddle should have heavy water rescue assets on premises is now accusing others of advocating for "bureaucratic nightmares" is particularly amusing.

I suspect our beloved AEP/SABE might be on a no-take-off/land list, then  .
...and because, as stated in an other thread, I think Trump might irritate Evan.
Still no signs of that there :( . I'm pressing F5 regularly, nonetheless.

So... one JetPhotie has a no-fly list (including almost every single airline in this Universe and possibly others), while another has been on an no-fly list :o  .

That is me reading the Dash 8/Cessna "twin" thread right now (I'm actually eating a waffle while fighting two of my cats who want a piece, but the enjoyment is the same).
I'm very disappointed by the lack of input from FlyCrew and BieBie, though :( .

I'm also disappointed by the lack of attention to our new, young friend LazyFortress. Maybe we should unban uncle Dale?

As am I. Even BeeBee (who is presently a 747 Captain and has been flying for nearly 50 years) has apparently been rendered speechless by all that "understanding".

Who is Not_Karl?

Postby 3WE » Mon Nov 21, 2016 3:42 pm

...That [Michael Jackson] is me reading the Dash 8/Cessna "twin" thread right now...
Ah ha!

We have long pondered this question: We know who Not_Karl is not (obviously he his not Karl nor Carlos, the more Latin version of the name)..

But through a little conspiracy minded decoding, if we take Not_Karl's initials, "N, K" and go back exactly one letter in the alphabet, we get "M, J"...INDEED...Michael Jackson!

The gravity of that information is right up there with the agreement of ATLCrew and Evan, 3BS giving photo editing advice, and the election of Donald Trump!

So he has a valid excuse to reach for his carry-ons in case of a fire :ugeek: .

I guess he has done all the risk management calculations.

The risk of being in a CO situation

TIMES

The risk of Brian being there

TIMES

The risk of Brian being near enough to stop him from getting his carry on.

Is so exceedingly small that he throws caution into the wind and lives with reckless abandon on that point...

Refreshing to find out that Evan does have a wild side.

Just like going for a walk wearing a helmet...there's still some risk in taking that walk! Falling limbs, out of control cars, or even getting hit by jet engines or cheap composite tail fins shed from aircraft above, or maybe a whole airliner drops on you while the pilots pull up relentlessly!

As for the "remain seated" announcement always happening, yes thats true. In this case it wasnt a "Please remain seated..." announcement. It was a direct, authoritative, command. So it definitely did what was intended - people paid attention. There were no people trying to sneak their luggage out while taxing
Outrageous! Hundreds of carry-ons were subjected to unnecessary risk :x .
This was no CAT.

If there is smoke, get out of there ASAP. Don't lose time videotaping or grabbing stuff
Nooooo!
By the way, I'm not very convinced of the seriousness of the site this guy is promoting ;) . Did you read the BA pooping incident?
Or this sentence, which sheds new light to 3WE's purported occupation: "Note : Watch out for crop dusting .It’s the art of walking down the cabin whilst farting ,a crew favorite . Trust me, it happens." (I would like to know the opinion of our resident crewmembers).

"Crotch watch: The compulsory check to assure that all travelers have their seat belts properly fastened. This one is indeed the funniest of all!" - I thought it had something to do with Nair use...

"BOB : BEST ON BOARD (Best looking male passenger on board" - Well, since I don't fly since January '95, it is very likely that this term has fell out of use 8-) .

It seems that several total passenger/air disasters could have been avoided with the use of a mighty 747 instead of crappy little E-170s, BAe 146s, etc.
All the free space in a 747 with only 80 passengers would be very handy to carry bulky fire-protecting vests, gas masks, parachutes, and other vital safety gear.
