A Pegasus Airlines flight skidded off the runway of a Turkish coastal airport and ended up halfway down a steep slope into the Black Sea, but no passengers or crew were hurt, Turkish media reported on Sunday

Once again a gross misinterpretation of what happened.
The crew just decided their pax would like a nice trip to the beach, and decided to take them there!

Hmmm....perhaps this is the rare failure of the left main shimmy damper?
Hearing about this on the radio did not do it justice...it does seem a bit close to a near-total air disaster...planes are often not that good at off-roading.

Ah, I think I understand now.
I'm going to adopt Evan's "solve all problems by making rules" philosophy and propose that a "no left turn" sign be posted at the appropriate location beside runway 11.

It can be just a coincidence....That photo has a resemblance with our new AIRDISASTER.INFO logo.
...or maybe the logo was a warning. I fear Sickie might be the Leader of the Superior Cephalopods.
On one hand, a cheap composite crackerbox probably would have been broken in pieces and exploded in flames.planes are often not that good at off-roading.
On the other hand, one should not discard the possibility of its ancient design dating back from the sixties being responsible for the total air disaster.

Indeed; however, it must be cryptic so as to not allow the pilots to think fundamentally. Maybe something on the approach plate that says aircraft headings of 105 through 295 are not approved after touchdown- that should prevent something like this...you'd think!Ah, I think I understand now.
