Mrs. 3BS flew home on a corner-cutting airline operating 737-Mx airliners last night.

Flyover was operating to the NW. The 10:30 to 11:00 arrivals were lining up but it was far from busy and only a few departures.

Suddenly, her aeroplanie makes a hard left turn and enters an uncontrolled death dive ([Not_blue]3500 FPM) as the pilots violate stabilized approach criteria, deviate from their briefed arrival and probably say, “hold my beer while I jockey this airliner around like a Piper Cub”.

But the best part, is that Flyover continues to operate primarily to the NW. Within 5 minutes of their landing another plane lands to the NW and another departs NW.

On the one hand we know that this was not_a huge deal, but conversely, it’s kind of unusual and I wish I had live ATC up AND known what ATC was thinking.

“Hey SW…what if I offered you 12L? Winds are calm and we have a little gap in departures and arrivals….” “Hey Bob, ok if I send 3305 to 12L?” Or maybe it was one controller working approach and tower?

And “Opposite direction traffic, 12 o’clock and 10 miles, they’ll be landing on 30L a full minute after you land on 12L…”

Indeed.. Or some kind of ISGPOTM or Chuck Norris thing.

Regarding the ground speed- yes, a pretty big change, but not_unheard of as you fly across the Estados Unidos.

That big Kalifornia storm was affecting them early on followed by severe calm in the Flyover corn belt.

I have seen 100 kt changes myself.

Did she observe any loose bolt/nut/plug/panel, missing pin, misdrilled hole, strange "air rush" noises or pressurization problem? Did she have any comment and/or opinion about the lavs and quality of construction or lack thereof?
I have seen 100 kt changes myself.
That's nothing, Kentie has seen 200kt changes himself 8-)

But was that when flying the DC-3, the 707, the Concorde or the Space Shuttle?

She is not_a private pilot and not_a forumite, therefore she was not_observant for said items, nor flap position.

However maybe someone else noticed something and pushed the hostie call button to report it, resulting in the emergency backward landing?

Or was it simply “What’s MCAS doing now?”

One night, a couple years ago, we are waiting for young Ms. BS…

Her aeroplanie is on final for 30R

About landing time, I observe a 737-Mx fly over with much altitude.

The Flightaware track shows it continuing on runway heading, tear-dropping and coming back and landing on 12L.

Again, gentle, evening conditions, but I guess the wind shifted so that the other runway was favored.

Anyway, these WN Cowboy Monkey pilots seem to like changing runways.
