To avoid off-topic in the 737 Mcas thread...

Postby Not_Karl » Mon Jan 08, 2024 9:00 pm

I wonder if the ATC person used to work in tech support and all they know how to do is read a script?
-"Have you tried restarting the aeroplanie or powering it off then on again?"
Have you hacked my computer (or telephone)?
You should ax Comrade Snappy.
I was given some wrong account numbers and ONE PERSON WANTED TO CHANGE MY NAME... Ironingly, I struggled to understand someone telling me sixty.....she meant six three.....I don't know if it would have come across better had she said sixtree....probably not. And the pronunciation of S vs. X. (Age update I sometimes do not nail the official aviation phonetics, but do use them at times).
As a No Habla Inglés person, I'm always grateful when someone says each digit separately ("...fifteen -that's one five-/fifty -that's five zero- minutes").
"souls and fuel on board"
If I'm carrying a delegation of 500 hundred lawyers/politicians and 5 crew members, I answer "5 souls on board".

F.A.O.: Verbie

Postby Not_Karl » Thu Jan 11, 2024 12:44 am

One of America's finest legal minds is also suggesting Loctite, there. Maybe Boeing should hire us as consultants.

...the -MAX wasn't a thoughtful evolution of the 737, it was a desperate scramble to make the 737 competitive against the A320NEO -Evanie.

I can’t believe he’d say something like that.

What about this? :)
"this is yet another sign of the impending end of american dominance. for decades we have invested in nothing as much as we have invested in greed. wall street dominates nearly all of american life (and death), driven by absolutely NOTHING but short-term profits.

you now see in relatively quick succession, two major flaws in boeing products, brought about (as evan has ranted on about) by sort-sightedness and profit-driven everything. boeing should likely fail, and though it sounds cold-hearted, its shareholders should loose, since ultimately they failed to force meaningful change. it will be a very hard lesson, but sometimes us stupid humans need hard lessons in order to learn.
" -TeeieVeeie

On a different subject, do we like this livery? I, personally, love the color   and love the aeroplanie Not_being a 737 TADliner even more.

Show Tee Vee Ericie’s profit YouTube. (And ban all Marketing departments.

Purple livery: Nice, but it still isn’t WOW. The name WOW, cheap fares, Icelandic volcanoes, and the WOW MOM, WOW cowboy airmanship joke, and good-looking hosties really made it.

Everyone's favourite Biggie Clivie had a hot glue gun nearly confiscated by TSA. In the comments section we see at least one comment about its usefulness to glue aeroplanie panels and another mentioning Boeing and nuts.

Visitor message SPAM, there

Postby Not_Karl » Sun Feb 18, 2024 11:59 pm

I've been invited to a dating site. Maybe it's my opportunity to get laid, drive a red Audi and stop being a 50-year-old-virgin like the rest of we?

I'm scared

Postby Not_Karl » Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:15 am

One of America's Finest Legal Mindies has CONCURred AGAIN with Evanie.
I fear that:
 1. OoAFLM has been hacked.
 2. OoAFLM is under Squid control, probably the result of being forced to wear an infected face-diaper or receive an infected vaccine.
 3. It's a sign that THE END IS NEAR.

Little-o Horse-o neighborhood, Goodos Airos, March 7 2024.

Postby Not_Karl » Fri Mar 08, 2024 1:13 am

I spotted a guy wearing a "Boeing 737 MAX" shirt. Similar to this one, same color, but without the "-8", the text above the Relicliner and "Boeing" was preceded by its logo.
I can only ASSume he was Verbie .
Surprisingly the shirt appeared to be intact, but loose threads are highly probable.

What if all of the engineering devoted to flattening the underside of nacelles of 3? Engines and new mounting brackets and MCAS and more had been devoted to…I dunno, a scaled down 787 wing slapped on a….757…

Facebook's Messenger, before it stopped working :x in my ancient tablet, offered two themes named "Football". One indeed shows a football, but the other one shows an ovoid object that appears to be designed to be carried in one's hands... :? :?

I watched Zabriskie Point. I found it generally boring BUT, apart from some nice cinematography and good music, there's also aeroplanie action... INCLUDING an artisanal, NSFW, hippie RE-LIVERYING (Google "Zabriskie Point airplane". The first page of results, at least, doesn't show the original, pink livery, regrettably. I liked it :( . But the hippie livery is well represented).
