Ok…I THINK this is sort of real..a bunch of video is fed into a computer and let’s find the ground, lock it in a stable movement and then calculate what the airplane is doing and what the view would be from a drone, close in and off to the side…

360° camera. They automagically erase their base/stick from the video, but you can still see part of its mounting hardware where the strut joins the wing of the aeroplanie.

I believe (not with high confidence) that...

The camera / lens itself is not gyrostabilized.

It is a 360 camera, which in fact is 2 or more fisheye-lens cameras built in a single device, and the software of the device combines the image of all these cameras so you can smoothly, again via software, pan and tilt all around and zoom out and zoom in.

You can have a frame like a normal camera and aim up, down, left, right as you were rotating the camera, but nothin is physically rotating; you are just selecting what section of the spherical 360-degree image to display, all controlled via software.

Finally, the device also has MEMS gyros, so you can set the camera to make that virtual pan and tilt automatically in such a way that the image is aiming always in the same orientation relative to the fixed frame (the Earth) regardless of how you physically rotate the device, which is what seems to be happening here.

What is genuinely important, disturbing and disgusting is that Hoover asked some AI thing if Mahomes truly had a friend on the UPS plane and (based on widespread internet bullcrap) the AI said “Yes”.

I concur with the call for bannings.
