uch00b suggested me this video today. I think you may find it useful.
Indeed.

Now I will be free to advise BB, Flyboy, and Dummy on airliner operation.

Thanks!

No.

I have lived that dream. At least, sort of.

I’d rather have one of these:

But admittedly, this would haul more sacks of manure:

I find the 10X price difference interesting, especially considering statistics for did dieding people.

I ass-ume that is Evan’s oft-mentioned QRH?

Why would we[no italics] steal a crappy 737? I guess given it’s popularity with cheap airlines that want to did died us, maybe it’s worth having for the eventual dual food poisoning incident.

Still, I think MSFS provides a superior avenue for parlour talkers to spew acronyms, fly a pretend jet, and fantasize that we[no italics] are flyboy or Dummy Pilot…and practice said fish-inspired near-total-disasters.

Air is Not_good here. I suspect the name was chosen by a politician, a lawyer or both.

I was perusing Not_Dad's bookshelves some time ago and found a copy of the ¿school book? "Our California Today". The title is completely wrong as its contents are very obviously Not_from "today", but it did have a chapter on aeroplanies. Should we try to answer the questions in the last picture?

Should we try to answer the questions in the last picture?
I can take a crack at a few of them:
Knowing the story section:
1. "...some of the ways airplanes are more useful than railroads." A) They crash marginally less often. B) Experimental 1950's intercontinental heavy bomber railroad car was a complete failure. C) Airplanes are cooler. D) Airplanes can safely cross large bodies of water, as long as they have at least 8 engines.

2. "Where are most airports built?" Around runways.

3. List of workers who help to make air travel safe: A) The marketing department. B) The PR department. C) Hosties.

4. "How are helicopters often useful?" To access airplane crash sites in the jungle.

Learning how to study section:
1. "Try to find out about a pilot's work..." I tried, but they were too busy flirting with the hosties to talk to me.

2. "Write two questions you would like to ask a pilot...". A) "Why do you keep pulling up relentlessly? And B) "Where is the magenta line?"

4. "...the kind of person who would make a good pilot." John Wayne. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ds76VOSkm5g

5. "...why a pilot's work is important." Someone has to give airline management an excuse for profits being lower than forecast!

Kidding aside, those are some fantastic photos... thanks for posting them!

And this video has an aeroplanie!
Way more Komrade Snappy-approved aeroplanie action, including complete disregard for safety and approved procedures.
I particularly enjoy the aeroplanie discrepancies (and note that the crashed cartoon aeroplanie at the end is a mix of the aeroplanies previously shown, having both turboproppies and a turbofannie).

I kind of like Bobieeeees DC-6 stories.

Gabiee and I have discussed Kentie a lot…we think he is suspect. flyboy suggests he’s real. 3BS tries to reconcile that that he either has done too many hallucinaxionogenic substances or he’s not_really the Kentie flyboy knows of.

Dearest diary,
this is the happiest day in my 50-virgin-years of life: a real pilot who lives the dream instead of only dreaming it has emoji-applauded one of my posts in an obscure photography forum. I can't wait to tell Not_Mom, users from other obscure forums and my imaginary Not_Friends. She is going to be so proud and they are going to be so jealous!

Indeed.

The post was sheer brill-yentz.

And, oh the ironing of interpersonal dynamics…Those two were both friends of face-diapers…but the desire to guide mask usage versus the desire to guide fire handle usage are accepted differently by Bobieee.

Postby Not_Karl » Fri Oct 27, 2023 1:59 am

I watched Zabriskie Point. I found it generally boring BUT, apart from some nice cinematography and good music, there's also aeroplanie action... INCLUDING an artisanal, NSFW, hippie RE-LIVERYING (Google "Zabriskie Point airplane". The first page of results, at least, doesn't show the original, pink livery, regrettably. I liked it :( . But the hippie livery is well represented).
