In my informed opinion...

...all modern Boeing aeroplanies should be BANNED from flying until they're equipped with ballistic parachutes. Or, better still, banned forever.

Someone brought up that crazy drill-in in China.

Officially unsolved, but kinda looks like a pilot suicide to us, I think.

Fire Airbus Executives!

Double posting that maybe this deserves more press coverage (maybe not- not like it’s next to someone’s seat)

If more incidents emerge we can find the right thread.

”A mechanical issue” caused a WN to return to Denver on or about April 7, 2024:

Mildly reminiscent of that guy tying the 172 door open.

I tend to agree with Evanie on these ones...

Aren't loose, dislodging, falling-off and/or exploding parts usual occurrence for both that aerolinie and that aeroplanie family?

New video.

Postby 3WE » Mon Apr 08, 2024 11:20 pm

Aerodynamics is a strange thing.

There’s a video of the Denver WN plane landing.

The displaced cowling seems to “relax” but then the other side lets loose, and both tear off as the plane slows.

Ban engine cowlings and go back to radial, exploding, piston engines!

...but the pilots were momentarily relieved when the "detached engine cowling asymmetry" lamp went out.

Alternate explanation: CFM (do they still make the engines for 73s?) decided to put wings on the engine, as they had no faith in the company that made the rest of the plane.

The displaced cowling seems to “relax” but then the other side lets loose, and both tear off as reverse thrust is applied.

Read that headline and was going to post it here, but forgot. I took it as "...the engine's fuselage detaches from a Boeing...", but I prefer your interpretation. This is the same newspaper that brought us the recent B757 "wing disintegrating/detaching from the aeroplanie" incident...
