Not_Karlie's computerie corner

Postby Not_Karl » Mon Apr 10, 2023 3:24 am

Not_Karlie, apart from telling pilots how to do their job, also likes computers (especially old ones). He has a collection of mostly trash-picked hardware (generally Not_that old, sadly).
Are we interested in the subject? (I suspect ZilogMan would be...)

I've owned a number of old computers when they weren't old... does that count?

My first was one of these: https://www.old-computers.com/museum/co ... st=1&c=860 It was actually a pretty capable machine for little money. I learned a lot using it, and in particular learned that if you're going to use a computer that's just a large unprotected circuit board on a carpeted floor, you should check first to make sure there that no paper clips have fallen on the carpet. :?
