Some amusing commentary from one of our favorite aviation speakists, regarding frictional characteristics of slides, hand luggage, and the wearing of hats. And one of our favorite aeroplanie models not needing to be brought back as it's already here.

Dan Juan seems to hint that we shouldn’t have called for the evacuation.

In his defense, the scene looks very calm.

Conversely, there’s that rather scary 767 fire (slat bolt punctures tanks) that occurs under, INITIALLY, calm circumstances with pretty decent fire response and ends with the roof burnt through and pilot bailing from the cockpit.

Interesting note on the hat, but I did not see that on the checklist. Should we write compelling letters to regulators and tweet about it on X?

And yes Brianie, look at how we Americans evacuate without carry on stuff. :lol:
