Re: Donald Trump/Joe Biden
Folks,
There is one more thing that's been on my mind lately, and I think I just have to lay it out here and let the chips fall where they may:
If the presidential election were held again tomorrow, and the candidates were Donald Trump and a squid, I would probably vote for the squid.

And you can call the prosecution "politically motivated" if you want to, but he was tried in a court of law and convicted by a jury of his peers. Probably because he actually committed the crime, but let's not split hairs. I find your faith in our "justice" system endearing. Out...

Well clearly I'm in the minority, but one factor I also take into account is whether or not the candidate is a convicted felon.

Re: Donald Trump/Joe Biden
I don't entirely disagree, but is "interesting" the primary criteria for choosing the POTUS? And in spite of all the other side's claims, she did have a lot to say (mostly later in the game) about what her policies would be. And then there's the "less bad" argument which may be s...

Serious question (for once)
https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/1glvmkn/saw_this_beauty_today_at_grr_grand_rapids/ Why on Earth would they park an Osprey (that's an Osprey, right?) that way? Anything at all that causes a propeller to turn (wind for example) would result in damage to the prop. Related question: is that ...

Re: Go-Around Procedures
Heh... don't be too jealous, I've never flown a 182 (trained in 172s) and the 206 flight was pretty short. I do have about an hour in an Arrow though - that was pretty neat. I did learn one interesting thing in the 206... that some light planes have pretty crappy heaters. In spite of the heat being ...

2. Suppose you turned on the TV news and they were reporting that "An airplane crashed today in the midwest, killing all 3, 026 people aboard, plus 1100 people on the ground. In addition, radiation from the crash has rendered almost 400 square miles of land uninhabitable." Everyone here w...

Re: Go-Around Procedures
I think the Cessna 206 is one that has that kind of reputation. A coworker of mine who was in a flying club that owned a 210 and 206 took me out flying once in the 206. I realized he was completely insane when he offered to let me land it, but he added one comment: "Watch out, at full flaps thi...

Re: Go-Around Procedures
I've always thought it should depend on the plane and the flap setting, but maybe that's more nuance than makes sense during a high-workload situation like a go-around. It seems like in most aeroplanies, the first notch or notches of flaps affect stall speed more than drag, while the last notch / no...

Re: Donald Trump/Joe Biden
Maybe the candidate, or maybe just too many people willing to buy Trump's lies? My wife was talking to her aunt about the election about a week ago, and she said (verbatim) "We've always voted Democratic in the past but Trump said he'd make America great again so we voted for him." That's ...

I think a much more important question is can any (or all?) pax use this to control the airplane when both pilots have the fish.
