Ok, the Evan idea is great, but I’m afraid I’m going full-gutter. So, I ass-ume the cameras were turned off and the couple continued with mile-high consummation procedures, with type-specific checklist? What PSI, we’re involved? We’re there relentless push overs and pull ups? Did they conduct normal...

U.S. asks for help finding missing F-35 fighter jet after pilot ejects during 'mishap' The jet was left in autopilot over South Carolina, but officials said Monday they are certain it's no longer flying. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/f-35-fighter-jet-missing-pilot-ejects-mishap-rcna105534 My...

Re: Ural A320 forced landing at Omsk
I think the New Orleans incident included waiting for dry ground…Given the reporting of the landing gear creating trenches, it sure seems like trying to take off from the same "runway" isn't the greatest idea.
But... it's now late September, and if the ground were frozen...

1. new/interesting 1. Indeed. 2. Not_saying it’s EASY 3. The AI/learning aspect, may, indeed, be complex. BUT JUST SAYING: An algorithm to iteratively optimize pitch, bank and power is less complex than integrating 4 motors, 4 torque points, 4 lift points, radar altimeter, attitude, and pitch, roll...

Update: I’ve checked out some LP tank shots, where the fuel very much wants to be a gas. There are some pretty cool fires but think the guys are using external ignition sources (flares taped to BBQ tanks. ) https://youtube.com/shorts/NOSvVsAGtDM?si=QGYA-4gzqlvDzETn https://youtube.com/shorts/nGoWvDh...

Re: Not_TWA 800
Also, a bullet, or at least one that isn't specifically incendiary, is not much of an ignition source. I can’t believe this doesn’t generate a hot, little spark… know it’s short lived, but so’s a spark plug. https://youtu.be/VK7bCs4Ho_I?si=LH4K_kX7KkWHB_X8 Conversely, here we are with an ideal gaso...

There is software that makes an autonomous Quadra copter hover stability, or deliver Amazon packages. Optimizing a a race course with turns, climbs, descents…a much smaller challenge. Do you really think so? The amazon/hobby drone just needs to climb to an altitude high enough AGL to clear any obst...

Not_TWA 800
The objective of this post is some fun, technical discussion around fuel combustion (not_TWA 800). The inspiration is a set of write ups on www.internet.com saying it’s hard to get a gasoline tank to explode by shooting a bullet into it. https://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-driving-safety/accidents-ha...

My vote: All of the above. However, Canada is not_all bad. They make regional jets for flyboy and other's debauchery. I seem to recall they have OK windows to slobber on. Buffalo Airways flies DC-3's, Electras and C-47s; although, they need to get some Twin Oetters and FH-227s. They don't necessaril...

Pre 9-11 and TWA==>AA I sort of COUNTED ON seeing someone go around at Flyover when I went fence-perving. FWIW I also have 4 airline go-around rides even though I am not_a travel warrior. There's a funny parallel between this and AirFrance-35,000-ft-stall. A LOT of things happened, including a number of warnings, the guys got overloaded and botched a few checklists here and there. ...and apparently the integrated flight display thingie was giving UAS (although maybe some horrible pit...

Never heard of that… Well, a couple of things... First, I don't know… The hell-better aeroengineer doesn’t know about flap droop, but nevertheless, has to lecture those that do about hydraulics…oh the ironing. Turn off 3000 PSI and things relax…shocking (not). Indeed, new tractors with good piston ...

No, the wedge wasn't there, meaning the approach path isn't clear. Which is the wrong way to do things. Hazards should not be indicated by the absence of markings... Yes, I had a recto-cranial inversion about their recto cranial standard of dropping the gray wedge and zero text to mention the stack...

THERE HAS BEEN A NEAR TOTAL AIR DISASTER AT FLYOVER!!!!!
...15+ years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht11hhMyjcA I remember this incident- I THOUGHT it was just one of those random, one-in-a-million incidents of blades letting loose, but this was a lot more interesting. The video is WAY too long and initially overdramatizes things, but here's 3BS fr...
