Re: A320 Troubles, Latest News
AGREE , we demand an IMMEDIATE ban on the Sun . If you are talking about the star that we orbit, that could have mild unintended consequences. Yes and it would greatly reduce the amount of things left to ban , a totally intended consequence. By banning the sun you are banning all subsequent banning...

Re: Truck on the runway?
I was interested in hear what you could say about these questions in relation to the airplane's systems rather than cockpit procedures.I shall defer all questions on cockpit procedures to our ISGPTOM in-training

Re: A320 Troubles, Latest News
[The ELAC ] sends commands to elevators that control the plane's pitch or nose angle. Its manufacturer, France's Thales, said in response to a Reuters query that the functionality in question is supported by software that is not under Thales' responsibility. How very French is that? Thales claims t...

Re: (More) IA image creation shenanigans
The backwards landing technique is great. It guarantees a greaser every time!!! It even pre-rotates the wheels before touchdown to avoid the "screech".

Re: Safety backup
I don't even know what "kind of have that" means. Must be because I don't have the necessary credentials. Rather because my English is not as good as your Spanish. Acknowledged, number mismatch between subject and verb: it should have been "It kind of has that" or "They kin...

Re: AA-191…
A nice example of that kind of strategy is the cabin windows. The exterior transparent panel is designed to withstand the differential pressure for thousands of pressurization cycles. It is much thicker than what it needs to be to just withstand the differential pressure with a safety margin. The re...

*** (like using a fork lift to change the engine)*** A stress point is a stress point. Metal fatigue happens. And fatigue crack propagation speed is understood. As well as residual strength. file:///C:/Users/Gabriel_Braun/Downloads/Report_DCA26MA024_201958_11_20_2025%204_13_10%20PM%20(1).pdf There is a very interesting picture of the crash field. Re: AA-191…
AA-191-esque Very Disturbing :( Very. Given what Verbal explained (3 of the 4 lug faces showing fatigue cracks), unless something particularly bad was done with that engine (like using a fork lift to change the engine), I would expect that a lot of other DC-10 / MD-10 / MD-11 will also have a lot o...

Oh, I'd love to hear this! Please explain how you came up with that, I almost beg you. I didn't have to come up with anything. It's in the NOTAM. Remaining distance, TORA, TODA, ASDA and LDA are all 1500m for both RWY 11 and RWY 29. 1500m = 4921.26'. So, 4,900' runway total, with an LDA probably cl...
