Re: Air France jet missing
I feel so bad about the pilots trying to fly this perfectly good aircraft, without proper training (it is very obvious to everyone), into an unrecoverable situation, because they did not have proper training. It sucks. Sorry to sound a little juvenile .

ITS those are really cool old radios. Heathkit, a long time ago I used to look through their old catalogs and dream of buying their kits, but I never had the money then. Now i have the money but where is Heathkit? Funny how things work out like that . . . Hey Sickbag? Could socialism possibly bring ...

I agree, there are left lane blockers (LLB's) everywhere, but Florida just has - this - certain - type, that can drive you nuts.

Re: Candlelight Vigil: Joey
Candlelight vigil for me! Wow. Thanks ITS that means a lot. It's ok, though, really. I really don't like posting pictures of people, but I did anyway (while somewhat inebriated), and it elicited some, ahh, typical AD type responses  , and I thought it best to quickly remove the photo in quest...

Re: In memoriam Don Moore - condolence book
Don was always a rock on the forum; someone who had vast knowledge, endless patience, was never arrogant or condescending, and one who would avoid the forum wars. Don was also one of the pros in the industry who helped me, simply through his postings, get over my fear of flying I originally had when...

Re: Air France jet missing
So, according to these sources the ADIRUs are completely different between the Qantas and the Air France planes. Well it is still something to look into I suppose, in case there are any similar algorithms, coding, components, etc. (It's unfortunate it took this accident to bring me back from exile. ...

Re: What I Saw On my Way To Work Last Thursday
As I understand things, the only time the payload bay doors are reopened after being closed on-orbit, is when the orbiter is finally secure in her 'garage,' the Orbiter Processing Facility, at KSC. Yes everything is well secured before de-orbit. Confirm, Sammy? BTW fantastic photos! (BTW Sorry I hav...

Re: Where do you feel most at home?
Really? That's cool. Any reason for just North east GA and not just North GA in general? (People generally think of Georgia as divided into North (Mountains), Central (Piedmont or low rolling foothills), Coastal (Ocean), and South (Plains, cotton and peanut country), and then of course Atlanta. Goo...
