With NTSB investigating, there'll be zero information disclosed outside of their periodic briefings. In a photograph in the article linked below (scroll down the page to see) the train was moving from left to right - the derailment occurred at or near a siding switch. The fact that the front portion of the train (not shown in this image) is upright and in line, suggests the likely cause will be a mechanical failure on the train (such as a broken wheel) or a track defect that failed as the train was rolling by. The track is required to be visually inspected twice a week; this was last done two days before the derailment.
