OSL - LHR - SIN - DPS, June 15.
Return, August 7.
Food, beverages and diving on 5 different locations in Indonesia and the Philippines.
Some ATRs and smaller Airbees will also be utilised, little plastic boats with many, many outboard engines are part of the logistics. Scooters will be used where allowed, bicycles and horses where not.
I will inform you if I do die.

As I read this thread, I bet a phugoid-close-to-water Flyover beer that they swap aeroplanies on you.

I guess it could be tragic to not_fly on a huge ass aeroplanie, but conversely, life is precious, too.

As with sickbag, with a little luck, you probably won’t did died. However, we would appreciate a comprehensive flight report, including a photo of your beverage and pretzel sack.

And, given our new world, reports of mask usage, leakage and physical violence involving the cabin crew will also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Short aviation summary.
Boarded SK A320 at OSL, 07:55 yesterday. Nice brand new aircraft with very, very nice legroom. Impressive! Few pax, me window, wige aisle, empty middle.
Driver started eventually the AC thingie, ran for a few mins, then, wham. All dark and quiet.
Lasted maybe 20 secs, then all up and running again.
Chief driver on the horn: minor, mumble, mumble issues, mumble maybe, mumble minutes.
A few mins later I notice luggage leaving our plane via conveyor belt.
Two hours after ETD we also left the train, no chance of hooking up with our connecting flight at LHR.
We were given a voucher for a sum that might have bought you a beer, in 1969, a box of matches today, and told we'll be informed by SMS.
After 40 mins, f*** that and approached a SAS person, wassup?
Oh, your plane is leaving in 20 MINS. Really, no shit? Then what?
Person checking screen and writing down, by hand, TG flight no and ETD LHR, ditto for Istanbul.
Nice, now run.
Same plane, but different, same pax so roomy and quiet.
Went through security at T2, approached SAS counter where a black bitch told me to calm down in veeeery slooooooow Jamaica English to make sure I understood. f*** that, I probably did her mother back in the day.
She had absolutely no understanding of anything, none, although we provided her with all relevant documentation.
I gave up, decided to try our luck with Turkish when they opened.
Lovely lady there could not find us anywhere in their system, but eventually managed to explain to that SAS bitch what she needed to do.
Bitch slovenly typed with one finger at the time, do not want to destroy decoration, and finally waived us over and proclaimed she had succeeded in booking us on a flight to SIN.
What the f***? We're going to DPS!
Informed bitch of such fact and the lame thing utters : where is that stated?
Uh, verbally about 20 times, our baggage tags on the table in front of you says DPS, the handwritten note from OSL says TG to DPS, and last, but not least, the actual TICKET right in front of your nose says so.
Where, can you point it out for me says the brain dead thing.
Me, pointing to DPS, here!
Thing: ohhhhh, on page two.
Me, I'll be back with more later. Concierge here to pick up phone to take it to nearest large city. Need to replace broken front glass.
Nope didn't hit the bitch with it.

Yup, it's me again.
Thought I was gone didn't you all?
No such luck. We were finally booked on a flight with was has become the worst British Airline ever, worse than SAS, unbelievable.
Anyways, the brain dead one gave us a flight number, told us to f*** off from T2 over to T5, meaning trough immigration and security, catch a bus over to T5, get up to the departure floor, check in with earlier mentioned airline, security and immigration and all that over again.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please pay attention.
We are talking June 15, London Heathrow Airport.
Ring any bells, watched news on the telly?
From the time we had our flight no on a piece of paper at T2, until we stood in front of the gate at T5 waiting to board BfuckingA 680 to Istanbul it took us less than one hour
I claimed world record!
Even my wife was impressed, and I would like to say excuse me to each and everyone I pushed aside, walked over, or under, or who I simply made dissappear in thin air.
Back to BfuckingA, cramped beyond belief, no seat recline, no service on oa four hour flight unless pre-ordered. Not even a menu card in the seat pocket.
BfuckingA now filed together with SAS under C for Crap.
So, landed on the Turkey dictator Erdogan's new brainchild, taxed around for about 30 mins passing empty buildings before we arrived dat the terminal. Let's forget about the terminal.
Had to go out through immigration, back in again and this time check in with Thanksgiving Airline who flew us in a hastily put together B787 to Denpasar where we finally arrived only a little more than one hour delayed.

Bintang does wonders for your body's chemical balance, not much for its physical.
Back on topic, one hour waiting in line for immigration, one hour waiting for luggage, one hour to fill in missing luggage papers by hand.
Huzzah!
Car and driver still eating, managed to get a message across to the resort.
Three hour drive North across the Bali mountains to our first destination. Arrived after midnight.
Luggage arrived 4 days later.
Stern letters and huge invoices sent SAS and Turkish Airlines.
Now In Denpasar waiting for no 1 daughter and no 1 grandson to arrive. They're on KLM, final stretch from Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian.
Their story later.
