Sometimes the best entertainment is in the comments

Aviators sit in the shade of their weatherbeaten, fabric-covered biplanes, exchange hangar talk and tell stories of their barnstorming days before they take to the air again and fly toward the setting sun ....

We need to provide liberal advice to this.

I admonish the Captain for not leading his message with, "First of all, there is no safety concern here"...Instead, "I have bad news"...(to which the FOFFIES autocomplete to: "we (both italicized and non) are all going to crash, burn and did died")

Indeed the calm but focused performance was interesting to watch- I'd even say they were quite worried to get the procedures PERFECTLY right so Evan will not admonish them on an obscure internet forum.

What is with the go-pros AND professional filming...I thought pilot unions, etc. were strongly opposed to in-cockpit videos? I get the wanna-be-you-tube stars and wanna-be pilots, but hell, this is a professional flight and they had a professional camera crew [/mild sarcasm]

I am something of an engine worshiper, and with three other good engines, I was surprised at how long the let the thing run...(conversely, I'm sure the procedures break down into- Oil-a-little-hot, but not damaging, vs, you are damaging metal, so decide whether your life, or the engine (and overhaul expenses) are more important).

Finally- thanks to Eric and Not_Eric(nor Karl) for some forum traffic with good entertainment value.

I am something of a 4 engines 4 long haul worshiper, and with three other good engines, I was surprised that they didn't proceed to their original destination.
Fixed.
