Hi everybody!
As a former flight attendant who worked for good old Swissair, I'm happy to welcome you on that forum. I'm looking forward to reading your questions, answers and insights. For me, it's already almost 20 years ago that I worked in the air, but the topic is still interesting. Please forgive me when my English is not really perfect, my mothertongue is Swiss-German. I lived for 37 years in Switzerland before I moved in 2006 together with my husband to the Philippines.
All the best, Sumisid

You really should start a thread with anecdotes from your active days as "Saftschubse" !

Right now I cannot think of a FA question, but I wanted to say that I am happy that you are posting here, and I hope that your time in the Philippines will be happy and rewarding for you and your husband.

Gerry, I think you never flew with Qantas, they have no smiles on their lips! You push the call-button, they come about 60 minutes later to ask you: "What the f*** do you want?"Yeah, really. Re: Welcome to the F/A Forum
You are right! I never flew with them, but on the other hand I can share the same experience with Air Canada. To defend them is that they were shortly before going on strike. This was in August 2000, so I assume this could have been the reason why they were grumpy.
Surprised I was from the Lufthansa crews on our Canada trip in 2005. Lufthansa had the name to be unfriendly and grumpy, so I feared the worst. But at the end I must say they were simply great. Still yesterday, Katie (Schmusimausi73 here in the forum) told me over the phone that on her flight to Atlanta with Lufthansa on last Sunday, that the crew was so friendly, always asking if everything is alright, if she needs something etc. (She's not disabled!) And this in Economy class.
