American UPS pilot found drunk at Warsaw airport
By Gemma Fox.
+
Warsaw - After being seen by border guards acting suspiciously in the Warsaw airport, an American pilot was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol.
The pilot, who works for UPS Cargo, was spotted acting strangely and border guards alerted the police.
When the police arrived they detained all three of the UPS crew who had been due to fly out of Warsaw airport. The three were then breathalysed.
The pilot was tested twice for alcohol intoxication with a first test showing of 1.6% and the second showing of 1.8% alcohol intoxication.
Despite having been due to fly from Warsaw the pilot was not arrested and was not taken to any area to sober up as being drunk in a Polish airport is not an offence. The pilot, however, was due to be questioned by prosecutors in Warsaw today.

It was of course 1,8 promille not percent as in the article, but still a very decent score.

        Correct. 1.8‰ should be 0.18%.

It is if you are in Poland (or maybe even Norway).

A 0.18% BAC is the equivalent of how many shots of Akkevit?

15 of 50ml girlish shots, or 15 of adult male 100ml shots?

No idea, we use those regular kitchen glasses like the Russkies for Vodka.

My respect then. From your description it should be 100ml or maybe even 250ml, which are used for tea drinking, but in case of emergency can double up for a Vodka very nicely.
