John Travolta was the special guest at the event. I squealed like a schoolgirl.

Very sub-optimal, non-direct, non-carbon neutral route :x :x

Be careful with these tight turns. You will bank 32.7 degrees and pull up 1.24 Gs increasing the stall speed in 1.12% causing the plane to stall and fall from the sky with the consequent crash burn did diededness.

Indeed, the -8 isn't an SP. Let's hope the monkeypilots are familiar with the route and avoid tailwind...

Indeed. The pilots must think about the Gs…and tailwinds, then calculate bank angles.

By the text on the wall behind "747 retirement" I suspect Komrade Snappy is involved.

Final Boeing 747's flight path pays regal tribute
Article has several videos showing Verbal and his compatriots waling about the plane and antoher showing it taking off - no radar images of the flight path yet.

Excerpt:

The Boeing 747, the US plane that revolutionized air travel, has been given a regal send-off in the skies of Washington State.

Atlas Air, an American cargo airline, took delivery of the last 747 to be manufactured on Thursday morning.

The crew flew a special flight path, drawing a huge crown in the sky with the numbers seven, four and seven.

It comes days after workers said their final goodbye to the iconic plane, dubbed the Queen of the Skies.
