Durnk CRJ Pilots create scrapes and paperwork.

I am an outsider, but how do we screw up like this?

flyboy:

1) Would you share insight? (Perhaps on visibility?)

2) Did you ever use the right seat on these?

After much blabbing, Dan Juan runs the ATC tapes.

The aircraft on the right (that got its nose whacked) was cleared all the way to the gate. The aircraft on the left (with the boogered wing) was instructed to give way to company traffic at taxiway M.

Dan Juan faults ATC for blabbering lots of Evan jargon versus more logical language. “Taxiway A, hold short of 4 BUT FIRST hold at Mike for company crossing in front of you.”

flyboy’s buddy did not mention a new departure frequency, which probably got the FO dicking with the radio at exactly the wrong time when he should have been looking right and I’m betting the left seat had a crappy view to the right.

Conversely, the inbound aircraft SHOULD of had a decent view and ideally took it upon himself to stop sooner. [/major outsider Evan arrogant pontification]

We are probably aware of this, but the plane that was supposed to stop, did stop, albeit beyond where they should have, and the inbound aeroplanie blew on through, as though it was cleared to do so…

It would be an interesting exercise to assign what % of the blame should be assigned to the four pilots and ATC. And I mean this in a pure sense, not_legal.

An accident is the fault of whomever had the last chance to reasonably prevent it.
