I have seen recent examples of major modifications to runway turnoffs at KSTL, KDFW and KMCI.
In my ass-hat, outsider opinion it seems amazing that these were built so wrong and a waste of money to be doing such extensive reconfiguration…sure modify things here and there, but this is whole-runway redos.
The key question:
In your credentialed and experienced opinion, would you say that there are widespread occurrences of poorly-configured runway exits?

Re: Do runway exits tend to suck?
As I am not entirely sure what you mean by "poorly-configured runway exits," I am not over an above clear on how to answer your question. I will say that I have not had any issue with runway exits in my 19 years in the industry.I have seen recent examples of major modifications to runway turnoffs at KSTL, KDFW and KMCI.

Contagious engine failures are bad. The industry should stop them.

Re: Do runway exits tend to suck?
This answers my question. KMCI seems to be almost completely redoing the exits on 1L-19R. KSTL did a major redo on 12R-30L. It seems wasteful and unnecessary. What could be sooo wrong with the previous configuration?I will say that I have not had any issue with runway exits in my 19 years in the industry.
I know those are different questions, but I got a beer on it not_being all that necessary.
Of course they have a new terminal with all-gendered bathrooms…similarly important.
