I'm not sure I like that mod. At least with the original, if you crash in the forest, you can use the plane's engines to cut yourself down from a tree.

INDEED, they should have some kind of protection like the jet version with its anti-FOD shields....you can use the plane's engines to cut yourself...
Oh, and if you are stranded in the forest with the jet version, you could use the turbinies to roast some marshmallows
