Re: FAO Frank: opera Login

I think it's because Opera doesn't reload the page automatically after logging in, but redirects to the version from disk cache. or whatever. At least with my settings and opera 9.5 this is the case.

reloading the page each time after logging in does it for me.

1) Fuel tanks of this airplane are big, with capacities of thousands of liters. After a long flight, they arrive almost empty. For what I understood from the reports, the vacuum formed is filled with fuel vaporizing and also with air through vents (and please correct me if I am wrong here and the t...

Re: Air France landing problem at Montreal...

Maybe #4 engine reverse was stuck at full rev thrust and / or #1 stuck at high forward thrust ?
or maybe the wheel steering failed? It seems the front wheels are alligned to the aircraft axis, which is rather odd considerenig the circumstances the plane went off the runway...

Re: 737RS, A30X shelved?

I think A+B are content with the current situation at single aisle. 320 and 737 lines are booked for the next few years. Both manufacturers are busy to with their long range projects. As long as the Russians and Chinese don’t start eating their cake, all is okey dokey.

The 787 will make the A380 look like right on schedule. I have the feeling we just saw the tip of the iceberg. Probably it will get worse. Good luck to Boeing!

That would be a very interesting question to pose. Anyone in?
maybe it will help convince CK if we go over to jp.net and wreck the OTF forum there again ;)

otherwise we have to wait till sept 09. perhaps Kilroy forgets to pay the domain fee...

If they got the information the way the Spiegel describes it they will have a problem upholding it in court. Probably yes. Even if they dig up legally usable evidence, these people find a "get out of jail" card somehow. guess we would be surprised how many of the gentleman are too old, me...

That's not corruption, Gerry. Corruption is bribing somebody to get something you want. This is avoiding tax payments. in german "Steuerhinterziehung". Still today a so-called "gentleman's delict"...
I hope the worst of these gentleman rot in jail

Re: The Archbishop serves up a shit sandwich

This week, the Turkish head of state Erdogan visited Germany and suggested that Germany should establish Turkish-speaking schools and even universities. He was promptly criticised by the German government, and for once this reflects the feelings throughout Germany, and I suspect even within the Tur...

Well Don, when I looked there was one vote for you to go and ten for Ike to leave. As his was likely the one vote against you, it looks like you have something of a mandate from those remaining. Use it in good health.

Anyone knows where I can find the video clip where they tested a fully loaded "takeoff abort"? That's the one with lots of tire bursts, fire and all. The cam is under the belly and we can see the firemen working on the wheels... EDIT: Not sure it's a 380 now, but it's an Airbus for sure.....

no idea if sensitive information is behind the AD crash, or ITS kidnapped by aliens.

Sssshhhhh! Don't tell this CK! AD.com had only 5000 hits/per day, CK said not sure about that. before half of the kids at JP get banned over fighting a lost cause against AD invaders, I’m sure he is more than happy getting rid of the problem this way. He might even agree putting somewhere on jp.net...

I wonder if the fantastic fuel tank inerting system that new airliner get these days would have prevented any of the above events?
I doubt it!
