In Sri Lanka is a ground which is used for international games which is notorious for it's population of (highly venomenous) snakes which reside on the boarder of the field usually underneath some marketing boards. Last year when England played Sri Lanka at that very ground the Sri Lankan actually tried to hit the ball into the direction of the snakes. The English players were not too impressed by their efforts.

In this video the batsman is declared, I believe, bowled out when his helmet comes off and hits the stump. Wouldn't he be out LBW even if the helmet hadn't hit the stump? Or does a ball to the head not count as LBW?

I think I answered my own question in the meantime -- it is not LBW because the ball would not have otherwise contacted the stumps/wicket (too high).

If the trajectory of the ball would hit the stumps, then its LBW. I am guessing, because I can not see the video, but if the ball hit the helmet then it was already higher than then stumps.

El please correct clarify if I am wrong.

I try this every time I´m in South Africa (every two months). Being dumb and all that, I´m beginning to figure the rules .......... I think. But I´ll probably never figure the kick of the game.

There might be a chance if they start now playing cricket in a pitch dark stadium with a luminous bat and ball.
